Double Escape

In the last post, there was a comment from Li-An that said...
Where is a one page story where a guy escapes flying from a sort of box.

Well, like I said, Moebius art has lots of examples of defying gravity, or escaping it. I was just showing a sampling of it. But whether this 2 page piece I scanned is the one Li-An refers to or not, it's a beautiful example of loosening the bonds of gravity as a symbol of hope.

Yes it was the story I was thinking of. As the book I got missed the last page, I forgot it was a two pages stories. Moebius recycles a lot of things in his drawings and flying people is inspired by... Superman and all flying super heroes.

Yes it was the story I spoke about (I forgot it was a 2 pages story because the book I have misses a page).
Flying people in Moebius drawings come from ... Superman and other flying super heroes.

It's a subtle, but important difference that much of Moebius' imagery doesn't fly . . . it floats — not heroically, but spiritually.

You are right. I love his drawings where a guy is floating in a flower.
